When I was a child, I took an aptitude test in school. It suggested that given my high scores in areas of empathy, patience, and great listening that psychology was a good career for me. While it is probably obvious that I did not choose this particular career path, I looked at these test results as a glimpse into my personality and how I could use that professionally. My love of a story and my desire to understand people has never changed. This brought me to reading at an early age and my interest grew. 

Every author and their story are unique, so what works for one may not work for another. Effective editing removes distractions that hinder a reader's connection to the story. When you have crafted a world for readers to immerse themselves in, the last thing you want is for something to disrupt their experience. Your work should shine with an individual voice, like its author.

Driven by a lifelong love of literature and a keen understanding of narrative dynamics, I specialize in development editing to help authors craft compelling and impactful manuscripts. My experience analyzing a wide range of genres both nonfiction and fiction includes, Mystery/Thriller, Sci-Fi, Horror, Fantasy, Young Adult, LGBTQIA+, Gaming, and Lantinx experiences.
